Milton Caraglio Signs With Rangers De Talaca

We are seeing multiple reports that Milton Caraglio has signed with Chilean club Rangers de Talaca.  A huge blow to Revolution fans who will be sad to see the Revolution's first Designated Player walk.  Mike Burns had said the discussions were ongoing but they were apparently not good enough to bring back a player that many thought would be a building block for the team going forward.  Needless to say the Revs have a lot more workto do.

  1. Not sure how to take it. I liked him, but if the best he could do post Revs is a Chilean club I'd never heard of (keep in mind I'm not in the know for clubs in Chile) I'm wondering if the club may have *gasp* made the right call. Right now I'm more concerned with Lekic and Zerka.

  3. Im not surprised by this. Cant blame him for wanting to be in S. America. Besides the Revs sucked last year in just about every way, even had off the field issues so why would he want to stay? But I actually think this is a good thing. Now we can bring in new strikers for our new system and leave what happened last season in the rear view. With Lekic and Milton gone it opens up DP spots and cash the team can now use to rebuild. Question is are they gonna make real moves up top and bring in new DP's or put more pressure on the middle to score. They really need Jaqua to sign now.

  4. Sorry but Just say no to Jaqua... we need equal or better strikers than we had last year... jaqua does not fit either criteria

  5. I think Nate can out play Lekic. Lekic scored 6 and 2 were PK's so really just 4 I think and thats for twice what Nate will be making. Nate will get 2 goals minimum. But I actually wouldn't mind if they put Nate in the middle and sent Benny out wide. That could really help out the attack plus you make up for Zerka being gone. They just have to plug in 2 strikers. Hopefully one is a DP caliber guy. Nate didnt get a fair shake last season in Seattle but he did score a big time goal in the CCL for them.
