Is Sene 'The One'?

We here as well as the rest of New England have been constantly searching for that 'proven goalscorer 'and 'the one' who can replace what this team lost when Twellman's career was so unfortunately cut short.  This season it seems as if the hot new player for the Revolution is Lee Nguyen, and he's great don't get me wrong, but I think Sene is really the player everyone should be talking about.

Where are the goals going to come from?

Well 12 games into the season Sene has scored 7 and has a .64 GPG percentage.  It may not be fair to either player but it is the measuring mark for most fans so lets compare that to Twellman's stats at 12 games in to the season:

YEAR GOALS APPEARANCES

SENE
2012     7            11

TWELLMAN
2008     1            1
2007     7            10
2006     3            12
2005     6            10
2004     1            8
2003     7            10
2002     10          11

Sene has been a great addition to this team so far and it's time to give a little praise where praise is due. He makes it clear that he wants to be here and is excited to play for this team. Many detractors (although surprisingly not us) thought that playing n the German lower divisions even if he was playing for Bayern II would not translate here that well.  At this point in the season it has and he is one goal away from tying last seasons leader and 2009 (Joseph) and has already passed 2010 leader Marco Perovic.  Would I like to see us add another striker of similar quality? Absolutely... but I am confident in Sene as a goalscorer for this season and in the future. Well done Sene and Revs.
