TeamOps/New England Revolution Stifle Supporters Groups

From our own FO apparently...
This is only a quick rundown on the events of last night, expect a full length story early this week.

Last night in what appeared to be a planned and concerted operation by Gillette Stadium security, TeamOps, multiple arrests and banning orders were issued to fans within the Revs supporters section The Fort.  While there are many details still coming forward to us what we do know is that this was a crack down on the use of profanity within The Fort.  Many people from the Midnight Riders, The Rebellion and the Rev Army started to walk out during the 63rd minute.  We were among the first wave out and witnessed 2 arrests by Foxborough PD and have heard stories of many others.

If you were in The Fort last night please email us with what you saw, your story, comments etc. Were you arrested? Did you walk out? Did you stay for the rest of the match? Tell us what happened.  All names will be kept confidential unless we are given permission to use it. Reach us at thedrugisfootball AT gmail.com

  3. I was sitting in the far top row of the Fort, over to the right one section. I saw Team Ops lurking about pretty much for most of the game around the top of the stairs, like they were on the lookout for troublemakers. This was my first time sitting in the Fort area so I didn't know if this was normal or not. I did notice at one point in the second half during a Chicago goal kick the Fort just said "YOU SUCK" and I thought, hm...usually they say asshole here, what happened to that?

After getting home and reading the facebook page it all made sense. I've been to almost every home game this season and the Fort wasn't doing anything they'd never done before during the run of this season so far.

  4. Absolutely ridiculous! Having read the FB announcement made for the NE FO, I’m disgusted that such an open attack has been waged against US supporters. Keep up the fight and let supporters across the league know what took place. Reach out and keep everyone informed.

  5. I was sitting on the right hand side in the 1st row in the Fort and I was with my girlfriend and she kept saying that the security kept pointing to the Fort and looking for something. Than in the second half of the game we noticed a few Revs people and security were talking on their walkie talkies and someone with a clipboard went in the Fort and the guy with the microphone said something but with the action of the game and crowd we didn't hear what he said. After that everyone in the Fort left and people were pissed.

Isn't there a big ass sign in front of the Fort that says the Fort is the cheering section and if you can't take it please sit somewhere else? When I get tickets to the Revs games I look forward to sit in the Fort section and hear the chants and feel the excitement. A Revolution game isn't the same when the Fort is quit. The 2nd half of the Fire game was boring and the crowd didn't get into it cause the Fort had no life to it.

  6. OK, Revs, the last nail has gone into the coffin for me. How far has my interest fallen since 1996? You don't even want to know, but I am done.

Genius move, Revs. You just lost what few fans you have. I think I will send a personal e-mail to Mike "Near Post" Burns and let him know. Maybe he will have to ask the Patriots IT staff to show him how to open up this e-mail thing...
