2 Out 1 In... And An Appeal To Former STH

The Revolution today have announced that midfielder Ryan Kinne and Forward Zack Schilawski have been waived.  Kinne made one first team appearance during his career with the Revs. Schilawski made 50 appearances  but only scored 6 goals, 3 of which came in the form of a hat trick against Toronto FC in his Gillette Stadium debut.

On Friday the Revolution picked up Lee Nguyen after he had been waived by Vancouver.  Nguyen, a 25 year old midfielder, made his way to Vancouver via a weighted lottery in December.  Nguyen had been playing in Vietnam for Hoang Anh Gia and Becamex Binh Duong FC.  Prior to his time in Vietnam Nguyen spent time at PSV Eindhoven and Randers FC. Nguyen has made appearances for both the USMNT  and US youth level.

Today non-renewing Revolution season ticket holder received an email with a video invitation from Jay Heaps asking them to attend an event with himself and Brian Bilello.  They will be talking about the changes both on and off the field and what's in store for the future of the team.  According to the invitation it will be a chance "Have your voice heard and your questions answered."  A good move by the team, but it may be too little too late.

  1. I'm a non-renewing STH and I never got such an email. Maybe because they've heard my voice enough already and would like to avoid it.

Anywho, well done with the Schilawski cut. He's not up to it at all at this level. I was always intrigued by what potential Kinne may have had, and I wonder if Boggs were healthy, perhaps he would have been the one getting the chop instead.

Also, I know I'm supposed to write for this blog, too. First bit coming soon!

  2. Funny, I haven't received any emails. Then again, I gave up my season tickets a few years ago...
