UPDATED: We Challenge The Revs and Krafts to Follow San Jose And Do A Good Deed

San Jose Earthquakes announced this evening that they will donate $1 for every person that attends their home opener against Real Salt Lake on March 19th to the American Red Cross to assist in relief after the Japan tsunami and earthquake. (Yes we see the irony)

The team will also donate $50 for every save that a SJ goalkeeper makes to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Come on New England, Let's get this done, not only should we do it but every other team in the league should step up for this one at least on the donation of money from the home opener.

Hat's off to you San Jose.

If you would like to donate $10 to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund text 'REDCROSS' to 90999 or visit www.redcross.org

UPDATE: The Midnight Riders have pledged $1 of every ticket they sell through their shop for the home opener to the Red Cross... Go here and buy one for all your friends http://www.midnightriders.com/

  1. Brian, awesome job posting this. I think all of us in our respective groups should get together and raise funds somehow. If it means passing a jar at a tailgate or something, it's better than nothing.
